Madras Red Fort Doctors Foundation was set up by the graduates of Madras Medical College to support the College, its graduates, postgraduates and its students. The foundation also undertakes Health Related Charitable Outreach Activities. It is a non-profit organisation run by members of the foundation. The organisation is funded by membership fee and by public donations.

Dr. Srinivasan Rajappa, Head of The Department of Hand and Microsurgery at Sri Ramachandra Medical College in Chennai will be talking about microvascular surgery and how it has progressed over the years. Dr. Rajappa graduated from Annamalai University in 1997 and did his MS in Orthopaedic Surgery at Sri Ramachandra Medical College. He is a Diplomate of National Board and did his Paul Brand Fellowship in Hand Surgery at CMC Vellore. He then did his Johnson and Johnson Fellowship in Microsurgery at Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore in 2009 and did a Fellowship in Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery at the National University Hospital, Coimbatore in 2010. His Areas of interest are Hand trauma, Replant surgery, Brachial plexus reconstruction, Microsurgery, Congenital Hand reconstruction and Wrist arthroscopy.
